The Island Carnival was revived several times in the decades following WW2 and was another annual event in the 1980s which usually ended up at the Mudchute. Also held on the Mudchute during the 1980s and into the early 1990s, was the annual Agricultural Show, with gymkhana, dog show, beer stall, home-baking competition, welly-throwing, side shows and other events, all organised by members of the Mudchute Association.
