The ‘Waterman’s Arms’ (formerly the ‘Newcastle Arms’) situated on the corner of Glenaffric Avenue and Saunders Ness Road. The name was changed by famous landlord Daniel Farsons, when he ran the pub in the 1960s. In 2012 the name was changed again to ‘The Great Eastern’ in spite of having no connection with Brunel’s big ship!
