Mike Seaborne

I have been photographing London since 1979 and, until 2011, I was Senior Curator of Photographs at the Museum of London. As well as looking after an extensive collection of historic photographs I was employed by the Museum to document the city for exhibitions, publications and the museum’s archive. Much of my work has been concerned with the changing urban landscape. Examples of my work from both museum and personal projects can be seen on the urban landscape website. Another project I was involved in, re-photographing a continuous panorama of both banks of the River Thames between London Bridge and Greenwich/Isle of Dogs, can be seen here.

Since leaving the museum I have continued with various personal projects, including the Thames Eastuary, WW2 Airfields in Essex and the Lea Valley Landscape.
