East Ferry Road Mural, 1984

Painted panels were fixed to the high wooden fencing which ran along the Mudchute side of East Ferry Road between what is now ASDA and Mudchute DLR station. These panels depicted aspects of the history of the Isle of Dogs - its windmills, football, industries, trade and the experiences of two world wars. They were removed in the mid-1980s
