Christ Church is an Anglican church built in 1852-4 by William Cubitt who was responsible for developing the south-east corner of the Isle of Dogs, known as Cubitt Town. Most of my photographs were taken at a funeral held at the church because, unlike weddings, it was unusual for funerals to be photographed in the 1980s
